Mechanical / HVAC Technician– FM Service Provider - Commercial building - Wembley – £44,000 per annum
An exciting opportunity to join an established FM service provider based in Wembley has arisen! CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for a Mechanical/ HVAC Engineer to be based in a large commercial building in Wembley. He or she will be required to carry out planned and reactive building maintenance alongside the maintenance team on site.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and have a proven track record in building maintenance. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of £44,000, overtime, further training and a potential route into further career progression.

Hours of work
The shift pattern is Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor mechanical plant
- Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings
- Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Units (Filter changes, cleaning)
- Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
- Plumbing - Unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers etc
- Monitor the BMS systems.
- Basic electrical duties (Lamp changes etc)
- General building fabric
- Escort specialist subcontractors
- Undertake repairs to HVAC Plant and Associated Systems to a high standard.
- Undertake installation, alteration and repairs to pipework systems as needed.
- Have the ability to undertake repairs to pumps within the workshop, including replacement of Mechanical Seals and other common causes of pump failure.
- Have a good understanding of BMS and Control Systems associated with Mechanical Plant and Equipment to assist fault diagnosis and correct set up.
- To respond in a prompt and effective manner to all Helpdesk related reactive maintenance issues, associated with the heating and ventilation systems, pumps, water tanks, valves, pipework and associated mechanical systems or as directed.
- Adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements.
- To ensure onsite Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to in all respects and to maintain accurate records/documentation associated with the mechanical aspects of the plant
Requirements
- Mechanically qualified level 2 (C&G, NVQ etc)
- Experience working in a large commercial building
- You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates (Essential)
- A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
- Multi-skilled
- Good communication skills
- Excellent customer skills
