Summary

Forklift Field Service Engineer required to cover the Gloucester and Cheltenham region

- Basic salary between £30,600-32,600 per annum pending experience.

Our client, an award winning and leading forklift engineering business with nationwide coverage, are currently looking to hire a Forklift Field Service Engineer for their busy and thriving field service team, to cover the Gloucester and Cheltenham region.

Reporting to your Team Leader, as a Forklift Field Service Engineer, your main duties will include attending forklift breakdowns and routine appointments to carry out electrical fault diagnosis, service, maintenance and repairs on a variety of Forktrucks/Forklifts as instructed to the standards laid down by the our client. The role will involve a mixture of pre-arranged appointments at customer sites, along with ad-hoc customer breakdowns, however every day within this role will be different! You will need to ensure that quality and health & safety procedures relating to the function laid down by our client are adhered to at all times as well.

In order to be eligible, you will need to live within a reasonable commuting distance of Gloucester and Cheltenham, and ideally hold a Vehicle Mechanical, or a Mechanical Engineering qualification, however our client is willing to consider applicants from any form of mechanical background with no qualifications presuming you are time served in your trade. Due to our clients product range being 80% electrical, being full competent with battery repairs and similar is highly advantageous as well, along with experience with hydraulics and dashboard components. Furthermore, this role does require a full UK driving license as this role is fully field based.

- Monday to Friday overtime is frequently available and paid additionally at time and a half. Saturday (first 4 hours at time and a half), Sunday and Bank Holiday overtime is paid at double time!
