Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Fleet Contracts Manager to join Marshall Fleet Solutions (MFS).

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

In support of the Head of fleet operations the purpose of the role is to manage day to day operational activities of the Tesco Compliance team who are based in Cambridge. To manage the relationship with Tesco stores carrying out customer care reports and being the escalation point for any store and fleet related issues

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • The FMD Contract manager is responsible for ensuring the Tesco fleet is compliant at all times for service /MOT and tax
  • To manage the compliance team and ensure all KPIs both soft and hard are compliant
  • To take ownership of any store escalations for van related issues
  • To carry out regular customer care reports
  • To ensure the CFC VMUs are operating within KPI
  • To manag3e the daily operations of the CFC VMUs

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Manages against a variety of Internal Business KPIs during the year and recommending corrective action as necessary to ensure P&L, service and productivity targets are met or exceeded. Provides detailed reports to Business stream manager
  • Delivers exceptional customer service across the region by achieving on-target service delivery, product excellence and adherence to customer KPI target requirements.
  • Create and distribute KPI packs and supporting data
  • Identifies changes in the market and products, recommending actions to address opportunities or threats.

  • Supports Head of fleet operations to ensure adequate deployment and due diligence of suppliers
  • Sets team objectives, measuring progress and addressing shortfalls in performance.
  • Collaborates with other colleagues to ensure a safe working environment is provided to all colleagues/suppliers in the regions and ensure adherence to health and safety policy and procedures.
  • Employs, leads, develops and motivates a team of direct reports. Actively promotes and ensures high standard of succession planning throughout business stream.

  • Flexible to support operational issues outside of normal operating hours and possesses strong negotiation skills for deployment with both customers and suppliers.

  • To be available on call on a rota basis to cover escalations for the store and Tesco fleet team

To travel to Tesco stores across the contract area for reviews and store meetings

Education:

Automotive Industry Fleet Management - Engineering Qualification e.g. C&G, IMI, IRTEC or equivalent desirable but not essential if a proven track record within the industry.

Clean, UK Driving License - essential.

Experience:

Minimum - 3 years' experience in a similar role experience of managing compliance and customers

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to utilise a variety of software to analyse and present ideas and information. Kerridge, R2C, 1 Link systems would be an advantage.
  • Data analysis skills - essential.
  • Confident with Microsoft Excel (Intermediate/Advanced), PowerPoint, Word - essential.
  • Meeting deadlines, task orientated and prioritization
  • Confident and articulate, you will be required to support the Head of the Business Stream wherever possible which may involve stepping into support that role.
