Summary
Title: HGV Driver / LGV Cat C (Class 2) Driver The Best Connection is looking HGV Class 2 drivers for a variety of clients based in Milton Keynes delivering chilled and frozen goods to stores in London. The desired candidate must be local and live within the Milton Keynes/Buckingham area. Newly passed drivers are welcome on the basis that you complete a written and practical driving assessment.
You must hold a valid Class 2 (Cat C) UK licence with no more than 6 points, a UK digital tachograph card & a full DQC (CPC card). All levels of experience welcome.
Start times: Start times can vary between 00:00 - 04:00. Times will be confirmed on a weekly basis.
Shift Patterns: 5 days on, 3 days off rolling ROTA
Responsibilities: Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport chilled/frozen goods to stores. Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries. Curb side cage drops. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items. Communicate with customers in a courteous and professional manner. Perform basic maintenance checks on the vehicle and report any issues or defects. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle. Qualifications: A Full Valid UK Licence with Category C A Valid CPC and Digital tacho card No more than 6 points on your licence Good knowledge of the UK roads Clear and concise communication skills Benefits of working with The Best Connection: Suppliers to many national blue-chip companies Possibility of ongoing temporary assignments or permanent positions after a qualifying period Weekly pay (every Friday) 24/7 communication with your dedicated consultant who cares and values your hard work.
