Summary

Contract Personnel are pleased to be working with a Brandon based client who are looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer with good mechanical and electrical engineering experience within the industrial / manufacturing sector.

Role Duties are:

• The daily reporting of breakdowns v PPMs activities
• Prioritization of repair work
• Planning and monitoring machines performance
• Working with the Operations Manager and Production team
• Monitoring failures
• Supporting External Contractors
• Technical support for production where required
• Provide effective maintenance support to the production operation
• Prioritise work to minimize machine downtime
• Responsible for fault finding and necessary mechanical and electrical repairs
• Assisting with new machinery installations

Essential Skills and Experience:

• The candidate must ideally have served a recognised apprenticeship in either mechanical or electrical engineering
• Must have at least 5 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Should be qualified to 17th or preferably 18th edition wiring regulations.
• Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical control systems, including electrical drawings and PLC experience would be advantageous.
• Experience in installations and project commissioning would be advantageous.
• Mig/Tig welding experience
• Previous experience of electrical maintenance within a processing or manufacturing environment.

Also advantageous:

• Experience of plastics processing machinery and/or extrusion
• Experience of process improvement and lean manufacturing.
