Hours: Mon-Thurs 08:00-16:30 Fri 08:00-15:30

Our client has been established since 1958. Manufacturing their own components for various industries. They use a range of materials, Stainless Steel, SG Iron, Aluminium alloys, Mild Steel, plastics, etc. Roughly from batches of 50-400. Into petrochemical, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, water, anywhere there are pipelines that need industrial automated control. Our client has 4 sites with a total workforce of 201 employees and growing!

Their machinery consists of mostly 3 and 4 axis mills, a mix of horizontals and verticals. Also, several twin spindle, twin turret driven tool lathes. This role would mainly be focusing on milling.

Duties
⦁ Problem solving
⦁ Continuous improvement
⦁ Programming jobs from drawings on both Mills & Lathes
⦁ Assisting with fixture concept design
⦁ Fixture manufacture
⦁ Selection of tooling
⦁ Proving out jobs
⦁ Liaising with maintenance & contractors
⦁ Assist with selection of new machine tools and equipment
⦁ Assist Production when required

Experience
⦁ Conventional & CNC Milling and Turning
⦁ Automation (desirable)
⦁ NC programming (must)
⦁ CADCAM Edgecam on site (others considered)
⦁ Fanuc/Heidenhain/Siemens
⦁ Lean manufacturing
⦁ Supervision of other workers (desirable)
⦁ Use of PCs Spreadsheets, emails, etc (must)
⦁ Macro programming (must)
⦁ Renishaw probing (must)

Qualifications
⦁ Apprentice trained (desirable)
⦁ HNC minimum (must)
⦁ Minimum 10 years experience
