Summary
Rheumatology services in East Kent Hospitals University NHS
Trust are delivered on three main sites (WHH, KCH & QEQMH)
as well as at community Outpatient clinics at Dover, Folkestone
and Estuary View, Whitstable. General rheumatology services
are provided. The department is now a designated specialized
rheumatology centre, enabling local, rapid treatment of
patients with lupus and vasculitis with NHS England approved
treatments. There are regular multidisciplinary rheumatology
and vasculitis MDTs.
We offer removal expenses, up to 32 days’ annual leave and
active support for study, quality improvement and patient
safety work as part of our ‘We care’ improvement journey, and
medical education and research.

This is a full-time post for a Consultant Rheumatologist.
The appointee will work in collaboration with the other Rheumatologists in the Trust. This will be delivering
inpatient and outpatient rheumatology services to the local population in East Kent Hospital University
Foundation Trust, to share facilities and provide continuity to patients and staff and deliver high standards of
care.
