More detail about the role The Musculoskeletal out-patient department offer rotations at the North Devon Hospital Site and at Bideford Community Hospital. It is a busy department and you will learn from working alongside an experienced workforce and in a variety of different settings including the Physiotherapy OP gym and hydrotherapy pool. The inpatient team at North Devon District Hospital (NDDH) offer rotations within Medical, Surgical, and ICU specialities. The team run a robust competency and in-service training programme, buddy system and clinical simulation suite sessions to support new Band 5s to develop the necessary skills to contribute to the on-call rota. The Neuro rehab team work across in-patient, community (ESD) and OP settings to provide specialist, evidence-based Neuro rehab to patients following stroke or other neurological diagnosis. Whilst on rotation within the service you will work with an innovative and dynamic team who continuously review models of delivery to provide services that optimise rehab opportunities for our patients. The Community service has been central to the redesign of pathways following the pandemic. They offer rotations within the Barnstaple community team and Ilfracombe community team and form a vital link between primary care and secondary care, NHS, social services and the voluntary sector. On this rotation you will learn to address the holistic needs of the patient in their home environment and the importance of integration within wider services. We are a friendly and dedicated team. Training and development opportunities are in high supply here, whether you are interested in clinical or leadership development, courses, secondments or placements. There has been the recent introduction of consultant AHPs within Physiotherapy, first contact Practitioners working in primary care settings and clinical educator posts across all specialities to name but a few. Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday and on-call out of hours Respiratory roster / some teams work a 7 day rolling roster.
