We are looking for an experienced Social Worker to join our help and protection area team on a permanent basis. Were on a journey to excellence for Coventrys children, and were committed to ensure that children are at the heart of our decision-making and ensuring they receive good outcomes As a Social Worker in Coventry, you will work with diverse communities and deliver experienced social work services to children, young people and families to assess their needs, provide support and safeguard their rights. You will collaborate with other professionals and agencies to deliver person-centred and holistic services. You will support children, youing people and families from a variety of backgrounds and in order to deliver the best possible care it is vital that we have a workforce that represents and understands their unique experiences and perspectives. We are thereforelooking for social workers who are committed to achieving the best for our children, young people, and families. This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Who are we looking for? You will need to have a recognised professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or CQSW) and SocialWork England registration with experience in working with looked after children, child protection, court proceedings and completing assessments within timescales.
