Summary

Job title: Appropriate Provision Hub Lead Salary: CSET 8 £30,296 FTE, £24,650 prorated Hours: 35 hours per week, 39 weeks of the year (TTO + INSET) Contract Type: Fixed term contract until 31/08/2025 Location: Mangotsfield School, BS16 9LH About the role You will lead the day to day operational running of Mangotsfield Schools Appropriate Provision Base, under the strategic direction of the Deputy Headteacher. The goal of this base is to improve the attendance, attainment and engagement of emotionally vulnerable students who may also have challenging behaviour needs. You will need to coordinate effective and relevant educational provisions, develop student timetables and review progress and attendance. You will line manage the Education Support Assistant working within this Base and work closely with other stakeholders such as the Family Support Worker. About you We need an enthusiastic, proactive and resourceful person who is committed to securing high standards for our students. You will be personable and approachable and be able to quickly build warm and effective relationships with students, and colleagues in school and across the Trust. You will execute your duties in a professional manner, modelling and setting high standards in all areas of school life, and implementing school policies with consistency. You will be a proactive member of the school demonstrating initiative and a can-do approach, as well as being adaptable so as to meet changing needs in your environment. You will be able to make decisions about appropriate responses to situations in relation to students, staff, parents and carers as well as members of the public and members of external organisations in consultation with the Student Centre Lead and the Deputy Headteacher. You will have an up to date knowledge of safeguarding and child protection legislation and the willingness to implement this in accordance with CSET wide and school policies. You will need substantial experience working with young people and leading a team. A relevant degree is desirable, but not essential.
