About the Role:

Step Teachers are looking for a Food Technology Teacher for a September long-term role that could turn permanent.

The school is a “Good” Ofsted-rated school that has a determined principal who wants every student to have the best life chances. Teaching in the school is effective and pupils make good progress. There is a sixth form on site which is also good. Pupils in the school have a good learning experience which is tailored to their specific needs.

Key Responsibilities of a Food Technology Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and dynamic Food Technology lessons to students of varying abilities.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Utilize innovative teaching strategies to ensure all students achieve their full potential.
  • Provide individualized support to students to help them overcome barriers to learning.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and professional development activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience as a Food Technology Teacher in a UK-based school.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Food Technology.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
