We are recruiting for a Head of Nursing & Quality (Care Groups) - Planned Care Division who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

Planned Care Division is looking for an individual to join the senior nursing team in a permanent position, to support a number of clinical services within the division, due to the successful promotion of the present post-holder.

We are currently progressing to a clinical leadership model of leadership across the organisation and this position will be responsible for leading a care group alongside an operational and medical colleague, with the support of the Divisional director of Nursing and Quality.

The successful candidate will need to be a registered professional with the ability to provide strong professional clinical leadership, experience of quality care provision and oversight and an understanding of finance, Hr processes and clinical governance.

They will support the Divisional Director of Nursing and be a key member of the Senior Management Team across the Division. The post holder will support the Divisional Director of Nursing to continually improve patient care, experience and assist with the implementation of National and Trust initiatives.

As the Head of Nursing and Quality, you will make a real difference to patient care and pathways. As a subject matter expert and specialist, you will provide visible professional leadership and demonstrate a strong commitment to support the team in the delivery of both the nursing and trust strategy.

You will support the teams in the transformation agenda in redesigning models of care and patient pathways to provide the best possible care and outcome for our patients.

Provide day to day operational management of nursing clinical services, liaising effectively with all internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that service planning and operational activity satisfy the requirements of governance.

On a day to day basis, you will have professional line management, supervision responsibilities and over sight of the well being of Matrons, Clinical nurse Specialist and other healthcare professionals and their teams ensuring support, professional growth and leadership development are provided for all the staff.

You will provide reports for the Divisional Director of Nursing & Quality for use internally or externally to the Division. These reports are expected to include highly sensitive, complex and at times contentious information related to the clinical activities of the Division.
