You will be involved in all areas ofcommunications including engaging our staff and stakeholders, as well as building strong media relationships and helping develop and manage our online presence and intranet.

The Communications Manager will provide communications advice and support across the Trust’s activities. This includes communicating with staff, media handling, public relations, social media and online presence.

You will be responsible for developing strategic campaigns on high profile issues, for both internal and external audiences to ensure effective communication with staff, patients, the media, local stakeholders and the wider health economy.

You will lead in anticipating and responding to media enquiries, briefing journalists as required.

You will take the lead in external and internal publications as well as corporate event management and VIP visits to the Trust.

This role involves communicating information, vital to the day-to-day business and the reputation of the Trust, to staff at all levels of the organisation as well as to external audiences including the media, patients, the wider public and national and local stakeholders. This information is often complex, can be contentious and may relate to high profile national and local issues.
