ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT
We are seeking a versatile professional to assist the Finance Department, Finance Manager, and Managing Directors by handling routine administrative and accounting tasks.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero and QuickBooks
Experience with Dext or Autoentry is beneficial but not essential.
Minimum AAT level 3 certification.
Strong bookkeeping knowledge.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
Experience of working in a company with cost centres.
Effective written communication and comfortable on the phone.
Able to take instruction and learn quickly.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
Good understanding of accruals and prepayments.
JOB DUTIES:
Credit Control
Preparing Sales invoices.
Completing Bank reconciliations.
Cover for processing Purchase invoices.
Cover for processing Business Expenses.
Making bookings for hotels, travel and meeting rooms.
Responsible for issuing refunds to customers.
Preparing prepayment and Accrual journals and maintaining schedules.
Creating payment runs for approval.
Assisting Finance manager with various month end tasks.
Assisting Finance manager with Cashflow forecasting.
Assisting Finance Manager with balance sheet reconciliations.
