Summary
You will be part of a team of highly skilled and passionate early years professionals offering comprehensive care and education to children during their earliest years. You will work in partnership with parents/carers to create secure attachments which enable children to thrive under our care. Being part of a well experienced team will allow you to both learn and teach new things, sharing your own knowledge and experience with your team members.
Main duties and responsibilities are:
• To effectively promote the delivery of teaching and learning across all 7 areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• To effectively observe and assess your key children, monitoring their progression and development, showing a good understanding of child development as well as identifying any areas of focus or the requirement for further support.
• Promote a safe, caring, nurturing environment for the children to grow, learn and thrive.
• Ensure the needs of each child are paramount and recognise that each child will have individual needs.
• Be a positive role model by presenting yourself in a friendly, professional approachable manner, interacting well with children, down at their level.
• Act as a first point of contact for the parents/carers of your key group, providing informative and friendly handovers. Building a rapport with them to create healthy and trusting relationships.
• Work as a team to keep your base room clean and tidy, working with the room senior to share ideas for any improvements or environment adaptions.
• Attend staff meetings and additional training where required which will enhance and broaden your knowledge and experience.
• Ensure you comply with company policies and procedures as well as legal frameworks.
