Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Higher Level Medicines Optimisation Pharmacy Technician.

The Medicines Optimisation Technician team would love to hear from Pharmacy Technicians who would like to expand their skills and knowledge by joining the developing and growing team in this exciting role. In the heart of Buckinghamshire countryside, the Trust is located conveniently close to London and Oxford. We provide services to three main sites, Wycombe, Amersham and Stoke Mandeville. As a progressive department we continually look to be at the forefront of medicines management and are committed to the development of our staff. We fully support CPD.
• Participate in the dispensing of medicines via “dispensing for discharge” system at ward level
• Aid in the continuing development and roll out of the existing ward-based Medicines Optimisation Technician (MOT) service and pharmacy strategy.
• To play a key role in the future planning and implementation of pharmacy ward-based Medicines Optimisation Technician services.
• Undertake Medicines Optimisation duties on a rotational basis within a defined area of ward-based practice.
• Deliver and record savings from appropriate supply and re-use of medicines.
• Promote a culture of learning and development within the Pharmacy MOT team.
• Support Pharmacy clinical services to meet the Trust Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
