Summary

We are looking for a Regional Admissions Officer for the Greenshaw Learning Trust (GLT) in either Gloucester or Sutton. This key role has been developed to support the growth of GLT and offers the successful candidate a fantastic opportunity to become an integral part of our ambitious and fast paced Admissions Team.



Reporting into the Head of Admissions and working closely with primary Headteachers and school staff, we are looking for an efficient and supremely organised person to ensure that we remain compliant with both regulatory requirements and internal policies. You’ll be someone who relishes a challenge, working flexibly within a supportive and highly effective team.

Greenshaw Learning Trust is a highly successful multi academy trust that provides excellent quality, comprehensive, non-selective and inclusive education through primary schools and secondary schools. Our schools are based in London, Surrey, Berkshire, Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire, Bristol and Plymouth.

Main responsibilities:

Provide guidance, support, and expertise to schools, parents, and colleagues in all matters relating to School Admissions and School Admission Appeals
Manage primary In-Year applications and waiting lists ensuring that compliance is maintained
Manage assess and process primary school special requests in collaboration with Headteachers, to include Education Outside of the Normal Age Group, Summer Born and Flexi- schooling
Manage the ranking process for Point of Entry applications ensuring that deadlines are met
Collate relevant data for the Head of Admissions/Admissions Lead in relation to primary School Admission Appeals
Provide assistance to schools at Open Days/Evenings
Deliver information to parents in relation to the Transfer to Secondary School process
Manage annual communications to primary school Administration Officers
Participate in the development and implementation of service improvements, ensuring compliance with statutory guidance and policies.
Dealing with highly sensitive and confidential information appropriately
Planning ahead in order to anticipate busy periods and changing priorities
Having an awareness of the educational landscape and its implications for the work of the Admissions Team.

You will need:

Knowledge and understanding of the legal context of School Admissions and experience of School Admission Appeals.

Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and be flexible and work to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining quality and attention to detail.

Ability to communicate with a range of audiences and understand how to tailor messages to different audience types.

Maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive issues in a tactful and confident manner.

Able to work proactively, think ahead in a fast moving environment, using initiative and working autonomously.
