Summary

The role will work closely with the CDC operational team through to CDC Project Board, working with other clinical leaders, primary care and Independent Sector partners. The CDC must be an effective resource for the clinicians/AHPs (and their respective Partnerships/ Practices) delivering the pathway redesign, triaging and a timely reporting service, as well as acting in a support and advisory role for the clinical team. The CDC will be patient and referrer focused, working to ensure people who use CDC services are treated in a timely manner, safely, with respect and that they receive a high quality service. With the Operations and Governance teams, the CDC will be primarily responsible for the management, review of performance of the clinical outcomes, including the ensuring achievement of the agreed activity levels, with a consistent approach in improving quality of care and service delivery. To be a highly visible leader of the clinical activities of the organisation, with the authority to develop operational processes and policies as required. To provide expert advice to the CDC Project Board and the Executive Team on all appropriate clinical issues, delivering KPI targets, whilst ensuring the best care and service offered to patients and referrers. To ensure that the clinical delivery of services supports the strategic objectives and to maintain safe and effective service delivery. To ensure all services and employees act within the regulations and the legal responsibilities with respect to Non Specific Symptom services. To develop and have a leadership role in the delivery of CDC-specific imaging related education and research for the CDC network involving allied healthcare professional groups.
