Summary

Rugby Borough Council is looking to enhance its Safety & Resilience Team. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team which is driving behavioural change across the Council to ensure excellence in health, safety, welfare, emergency planning and resilience management and compliance with the Corporate Health and Safety Policy, Emergency planning policies, Procedures, and relevant Statutory Regulations.

The role is to work within the existing RBC Safety and Resilience Team on all aspects of Health and Safety Management, and Resilience across Rugby Borough Council which includes diverse business streams.

As part of the team, you will be responsible for actively promoting a positive safety culture and resilience across the organisation. You will interact with multiple stakeholders of all levels.

You should have experience within Health and Safety at an operational or strategic level and/or Resilience as you will assist with the planning, implementation and monitoring the effectiveness of our health and safety policies and procedures. You will also support the safety team with business continuity and emergency planning to ensure the resilience of the Council.

To be considered for this role, you should have experience in either a Health and Safety or Resilience role, hold a relevant professional qualification (such as a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent), have excellent organisational, planning, and communication skills both written and spoken, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. If you've worked in a fast-paced and dynamic environment before we want to hear from you.
