Summary

Come and help support the Finance Department in the provision of pro-active accountancy and budgetary service for the Force.

Leicestershire Police are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a full time permanent basis, located at Force Headquarters.

Key Responsibilities
-To take responsibility for the preparation of specific areas of the annual budget, identifying Force pressures and highlighting efficiency opportunities.
-Contribute to the development of Financial services by continually reviewing business processes to provide cost effective and high quality services to both internal and external customers.
-To play a significant part on all insurance matters, including policy renewals, claims and ad hoc advice.

The must haves
-To be qualified to AAT level 4 or to hold equivalent qualification (i.e CCAB or CIMA part qualified).
-Experience of using Agresso or other Financial Information Systems, with a working knowledge of computerised accounting systems.
-Able to analyse and manage data, prepare and present high quality complex reports and engage in discussions in a clear and concise manner.
-Well-developed analytical skills, and the ability to pro-actively respond to financial issues as they arise.

Salary - £33,915 - £35,982
For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
