Skills for Care has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Lead to join our National Workforce Development, Capability and Skills team working across a major contract to deliver a quality assurance programme for learning provision as part of the DHSC Reform agenda.

The quality assurance function is vitally important in ensuring that employers in adult social care can access high quality training provision and qualifications and learning programmes which meet the needs of the workforce now and for the future.

Learning and development and the provision of suitable standards, qualifications and learning programmes in the adult social care sector is a significant priority, and this role provides the opportunity to make a real difference at a national level.

The post holder will work with colleagues in the National Workforce Development Capability & Skills team as well as colleagues across the organisation to design and deliver programmes of activity to support the skills and knowledge acquisition of the adult social care sector.

The successful applicant will have experience and expertise across strategic, policy and operational areas within either a quality assurance or qualifications and training delivery field. They will be a flexible and dynamic thinker, and be responsible for contributing towards and delivering across all aspects of this area of work. Within Skills for Care this will involve liaison with dedicated staff in the Strategy, Impact and Performance Directorate, Marketing/Communications, Digital and Finance to ensure effective working. Outside of Skills for Care, the postholder will be expected to work with government, sector bodies, workforce intermediaries and employers to promote quality assurance and compliance.
