Summary

Male One-to-One Inclusion Support Assistant - SEN

We are seeking an experienced Male One-to-One Inclusion Support Assistant for a full-time, long-term temporary position starting ASAP.

You will be working with a vulnerable Key Stage Two child on the at-risk register, who presents with emotional dysregulation and complex social needs.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about working with children and committed to making a positive difference in their lives.

Job Description:
- Support the pupil by promoting bespoke individualised learning.
- Provide clear explanations of daily activities.
- Motivate and encourage the learner through child-led therapy play, offering reassurance and support as needed.
- Assist with areas of development such as speech and language, reading, spelling, and numeracy.
- Use praise and a nurturing approach to encourage the learner to stay on task.
- Effectively and consistently implement the unit's behaviour management strategies.
- Help create appropriate resources to support the learner.
- Establish a supportive relationship with the learner.
- Monitor the learner's response to activities through record-keeping.
- Support the learner in developing social skills.
- Apply positive handling techniques where appropriate.

Job Specification:
- Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or at least 6 months experience working with children with SEND.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team Teach de-escalation training is an advantage but not essential.
- Proactive and adaptable to the learner's needs.
- CPD development opportunities.
- Competitive daily rate of £90-£100.
