Summary
The Neuroradiology department at UCLH Queen Square Division is seeking a highly experienced diagnostic radiographer to manage rapid expansion of the department. This newly-created post will be responsible for managing general radiography, mobile x-ray, theatre imaging, and pain clinic imaging. The post holder will be responsible for equipment and asset management, capital project management, service development, quality assurance, clinical audit, radiation protection (RPS training can be provided), radiographer recruitment, training and line management.
During clinical time, the post-holder will work as a specialist diagnostic practitioner in Radiology and be responsible for a variable caseload of patients. Patients will present with a full range of complex conditions and the post holder will be responsible for carrying out the appropriate diagnostic procedures to support the diagnosis of complex conditions and clinical training of radiographers.
The post requires close working with the Operational Lead Superintendent for the Rotational Team (CT/Angio/Generals) and other Superintendents to ensure provision of an efficient & responsive Neuroradiology service. The post holder will provide direct line management, technical and clinical expertise and leadership for a team of staff. They will be the day-to-day point of contact for the team providing support and leadership to ensure optimum efficiency and quality within the imaging service.
