Summary


We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated doctor to work at junior SpR level in inpatient HIV medicine at Barts Health NHS Trust. This fixed term post is to commence in June 2024.

The post is suitable for those interested in pursuing a career in Genitourinary Medicine or Infectious Diseases. This post will provide a fantastic chance to gain experience of complex, advanced HIV presentations and opportunistic infections. There will be excellent clinical and educational supervision and many teaching and training opportunities in the specialty.

Previous experience in the specialty would be an advantage but is not necessary as training will be given.

To contribute to the provision of comprehensive, sensitive and efficient HIV care.

The post holder will have a commitment to be available for ward work of patients living with HIV.

The post holder will be expected to contribute to service development, audit and QI within the HIV department.

The post holder will care for HIV in patients and be responsible for taking phone calls from other centres and providing advice and arranging transfer of patients into the Royal London hospital.

They will be provided with clinical supervision and support from the consultant team.
