This is a full-time role. Monday to Friday, Days, 40 hours.

JOB PURPOSE: Reporting to the Head of Warehousing, the Warehouse Manager is responsible for ensuring all stock entering and leaving the warehouse is accounted for correctly in line with company procedures. Leading the team in inbound, outbound and stock control.

Role Responsibilities – Days Warehouse Manager

• Taking responsibility for the implementation of the business plan for the future growth of the warehouse expansion
• Leading a 25,000 sqft warehouse on set up
• Ensure all health and safety checks are completed daily, weekly, and monthly
• Recognise risks in operational activities, proactively apply measures and processes to control and manage those risks
• Overseeing the recruitment and development of the warehouse team
• Ensuring goods are available to be despatched to the sites to meet service levels
• Provide leadership, direction, and training to warehouse staff and ensure they have a full understanding of company procedures
• Leading and acting as Champion for warehouse management systems
• Ensure all stock is stored safely and in line with the warehouse layout plan
• Deliver excellent warehouse standards consistently in line with audit requirements and adapt current work practices, processes, and procedures to respond to necessary change
• Developing and maintaining Key Performance Indicators
• Leading the weekly Warehouse site team meetings to identify areas to improve cost and customer service
• Managing MHE compliance for training to ensure all accidents and near misses are managed in line with company procedures
• Ensuring that Health and Safety regulations and standards are adhered to
• Ensuring that Team training is carried out within company policy and legal compliance
• Leading the team with high visibility through regular meetings and coaching, promoting a culture of achievement and responsibility
• Carrying out PDR’s with direct reports, agreeing targets and objectives, conducting monthly 1 to 1’s

Role Requirements – Warehouse Manager

• Strong team player, able to build good working relationships at all levels
• Have experience of, and the ability to multi-task and work with multiple priorities
• Results focused with strong planning, prioritising and organisation skills
• IT skills including Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Are self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and using own initiative
• Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Can demonstrate a proven ability to provide excellence in customer service
• Warehouse Management experience essential
