Summary

We have the exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to join us as our Head of Quality and Safety! This is a hybrid role, however you must be able to commit to occasional travel to our Head Office in Gosforth (Newcastle upon Tyne) a few times a month. About the job As Head of Quality and Safety, you will work closely with our Chief Quality Officer in improving and developing quality and safety systems and processes to support Everyturn on its journey to excellence. You will responsible for driving the quality culture of the organisation, leading and delivering the systems and process contributing to the delivery of safe, well governed, high quality care and services in alignment with Everyturns strategic objectives. You will be creating a high performing team in which individuals are engaged and motivated. As an energetic, passionate, values driven self-starter, you will build a working environment which is focussed on the delivery of excellent service. You will be responsible for leading the team on: Risk Management including corporate risk management Delivery and implementation of Patient Safety strategy in alignment with national standards (PSIRF) Information Governance Development of assurance systems and processes (Regulated Compliance and Quality Standards) Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Oversight and monitoring of organisational Policies, procedural documents and SOPs Development and monitoring of Q&S key indicators including a dashboard Providing Q&S assurance to the Executives and the Board through reports and audits Development and management of Service user feedback/ experience You will work closely with senior managers across Everyturns services and provide expert advice and guidance to support the organisation in meeting regulatory requirements as well as contributing to a psychologically safe and continuously improving culture. About you We would love to hear from you if you possess the following: Degree in health and social care, business development or other relevant field Experience and working knowledge of leading Quality and Safety teams Extensive experience of working as a senior manager managing teams and budget Evidence of participation in quality improvement programmes and projects Experience of leading and motivating staff to manage change Experience of leading and supporting preparation for health care inspections, particularly CQC Experience of business process mapping to identify and deliver change Experience of report development and writing; ensuring the accuracy of information and effective translation for different audience Extensive experience in risk management and clinical/ corporate governance Substantial experience in investigating incidents and/or adverse events according to National Safety Strategy Experience of providing training Detailed understanding of statutory legislation, approved codes of practice and best practice Detailed understanding health and social care sector Detailed understanding NHS policy, national patients strategy Detailed understanding of the complaints policy Detailed understanding of confidentiality and General Data Protection Regulations Detailed understanding of the health and social care landscape Detailed understanding of Health and Safety and Infection Prevention and Control Understanding of project management principles Understanding of nonprofit and charity sector What we offer in return We are proud to have been recognised and certified as a Great Place to Work, which speaks volumes on how much we value our staff members.
