Summary

With frequent contact with patients and their families, it is essential that the post holders are emotionally resilient with a caring and sensitive attitude. They will also have excellent communication skills to liaise with a wide range of health professionals to ensure tests and appointments are coordinated and scheduled in a timely manner and patients are kept informed at all times. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of cancer targets and patient pathways. It is desirable that they have previous NHS experience in a patient facing role, a good level of education, experience of using Cancer Waiting Times systems, clinical IT systems and are competent in Microsoft Office packages. We are looking for enthusiastic and conscientious team players with excellent time-management and organisational skills who can work autonomously and well under pressure. If successful this vacancy will require a Standard DBS check at a cost of £21.90. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £13.
