Join Our New Flagship Female Acute/PICU & Mental health Rehabilitaion service: Cygnet Kenney House is our New purpose built, Flagship Acute/PICU & Mental health rehabilitation service located in Oldham. Set to open its doors inSeptember 2024. We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Operative/Assistant with a passion for making a difference to others. You'll be working full time 40 hours a week (This role includes on call) at Cygnet Kenney House, helping provide a safe and healthy environment for the people in our care. Developed in collaboration with the NHS to with the aim to support women from the North West to be treated closer to home. There will be three wards at Cygnet Kenney House; The PICU and Acute environments will offer rapid access to care, supporting women to move quickly and safely through to the most appropriate and least restrictive setting. The mental health rehabilitation and recovery ward(level 2) will support individuals moving on from the Acute ward, as well as external referrals from other services such as secure, CAMHS, prison services and more. Provide a comprehensive maintenance & repair service Carry out a range of tasks including basic joinery, plumbing, painting & general building work Maintain plant, services & vehicles in working order Comply with safe working practices & report faulty equipment & potential hazards Travel to other sites & on occasions be on call to carry out emergency repairs outside of normal working hours Check the fire alarm points weekly, including fire exits, door retaining devices & fire emergency lights Why Cygnet? Experienced in all types of painting and decorating in both indoor and outdoor environments Willing to travel & hold a full valid driving licence Able to communicate at all levels & record detailed, accurate maintenance information Skilled at DIY & general maintenance Preferably Level 2 Diploma qualified in Painting & Decorating/Maintenance Friendly, conscientious & an excellent team member with a positive attitude Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
