Summary
WHAT YOULL DO The Band 6 Specialist Nurse is responsible for the provision of specialist nursing care for a defined patient/client group, practicing as a core member of the multi-disciplinary team. Duties will include but not restricted to: Provide specialist nursing skills, knowledge and expertise to patients and their families/carers affected by epilepsy. Work as a core member of the multi-disciplinary team and at times liaising and acting as a specialist resource across multi-agency specialities. At times be required to work autonomously and therefore we are looking for someone who already has these skills or the confidence to develop these skills Be required to take telephone help line messages and triage patient queries offering support and advice respective to seizure management or on-going care. WHAT WERE LOOKING FORWe are looking for someone who works well within a team, with excellent communication skills and also capable of working autonomously.
