Most of our teams are agile working with the flexibility in working location. We currently have roles available in the following teams:



37 Hours Per Week Permanent – Contact and Response - First point of social work contact for people aged 18 and above who are not currently involved with adult social care. Short term team. Has initial conversations to give advice or arrange support.




37 Hours Per Week Permanent – Locality East - Social work team supporting adults with physical health conditions or older people with dementia, including supporting discharges of older people from mental health wards. Provides longer term support to people who are in receipt of support from adult social care and either live in the east of the city or whose GP is part of the primary care network in the east. Also supports people living in residential or nursing homes.




37 Hours Per Week Permanent – Locality West - Social work team supporting adults with physical health conditions or older people with dementia, including supporting discharges of older people from mental health wards. Provides longer term support to people who are in receipt of support from adult social care and either live in the west of the city or whose GP is part of the primary care network in the West.




37 Hours Per Week Permanent - Adult Mental Health - Social work team supporting adults below the age of 65 whose primary needs are with their mental health and who are involved with professionals from Leicestershire Partnership Trust. Supports with discharges from mental health wards. Takes direct referrals from mental health professionals. Includes the approved mental health professional team who assess people’s safety under the Mental Health Act and the deprivation of liberty safeguarding team who assess people whose liberty may be deprived.




37 Hours Per Week Permanent - Learning disabilities and transitions- Social work team for adults with Learning Disabilities. The Transitions team can include working with some young people aged 16 and above to support with preparing for Adulthood. Accepts direct referrals into the service.




37 Hours Per Week Fixed Term for 12 months (funding) – East, West and Adult Mental Health




18.5 Hours Per Week Permanent Locality East


What you'll be doing




No two days are the same, you’ll be working with people who come into contact with us to have conversations to discuss what matters to them and others around them. You’ll have a can do attitude, a good awareness of the local information and advice that is available and use this to support people and their carers to solutions, drawing on what they already have around them that is working, or could work. You’ll work in partnership with others across social care, Health, Probation, and Housing teams.



What you'll need




You’ll have experience of working with adults drawing on care and support. You’ll demonstrate an interest in people and will be trusting, honest, kind and transparent in your daily communication. You’ll enjoy working in a busy, fast paced environment, thrive under pressure and be energetic and efficient.
