PureCare Care Services Limited is a highly regarded specialist provider of mental health care homes. We have been providing excellence in mental health care since 2005, with five services (4 Residential and 1 Supported Living) in Kent and Sussex. We currently employ around 80 people, and provide support to 63 clients.

We are now looking for a new Service Manager at our recently opened (July 2023) 15-bedded mental health service in Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex. This service has been flying high - 10 months after launch it already has 12 of the 15 rooms filled, with a full staff team in place, an excellent Deputy Manager, and a huge amount of support from East Sussex County Council.

We are seeking an experienced Manager (who is, or who has previously held, CQC Registered Manager status) to join our rapidly growing organisation to lead and manage this service.

Our clients have a variety of mental health conditions and will generally be admitted to us from hospital settings. With our support, and where capable, our clients aim to transition back into the community.

The key purposes of this role are:
-Leading excellent practice in service user support
-Service planning and implementation of all plans
-Development and implementation of person centred plans
-Implementation of active support
-Effective management of the service’s staff
-Maximising occupancy at the service
-To uphold PureCare’s standards and to lead from the front

You must possess the ability to get the best results for your clients and to get the best out of your colleagues.

Experience of managing and motivating staff and dealing with complex situations are essential, as is the ability to effectively engage with external agencies.

So what are we looking for?
Essential:
-At least 3 year's CQC Registered Manager experience
-Qualified to QCF Level 5 (or equivalent, i.e. Registered Mangers Award)
-Able to reliably commute to Bexhill-on-Sea, daily
-Experience of mental health care provision (e.g. personality disorders, bipolar disorder, EUPD, schizophrenia etc)
-Experience of residential care provision

Strongly preferred
-A driver

-£45,000 p/a salary
-£4,500 one-off joining lump sum, payable on joining the company* (*must be re-paid if you leave the company within 12 months of start)
-Generous performance related bonus scheme of up to 11.1% of annual salary (£5,000 in total, with £1,250+ payable quarterly). And, yes, our Registered Managers regularly earn their bonuses!

Standard Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 5.30pm
25 days holiday per year (+ bank holidays)

This role reports to PureCare’s Area and Quality Assurance Manager, and will be supported by a large team of dedicated and professional care workers.
