Summary
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Bristol to assist with the appointment of a Streetcare Waste Cleansing HGV Driver, on a 3.5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £14.50 - £17.88 per hour
Responsibilities:
If relevant provide support and advice, and allocate daily tasks, to a small group of staff ensuring they have clear instructions.
Check and ensure work is completed to the required standards with any suggestions made to improve service quality.
Operate/use specialist equipment on a daily basis to a high standard ensuring that safety procedures are followed and reporting faults and breakdowns as part of routine checks of equipment.
Work within the approved risk assessment framework ensuring the safety of yourself and colleagues reporting any issues of concern.
Communicate with customers to give good, accurate advice and information.
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience of face to face contact with the public within a working environment showing competency in customer care
Be able to interpret and follow health and safety advice and regulations relevant to the post as instructed through written instruction and procedures/risk assessments, verbal advice, and toolbox talks
Experience in using mobile working technologies such as hand-held devices
Driving licence and CPC to category C1E no restrictions. For tractor driving responsibilities this will be Category
Be able to demonstrate a good level of literacy and able to interpret information. Instructions, maps and specifications from paper or on hand held technology.
Detailed experience in horticultural or gardening services or street cleansing services
You will hold a vocational qualification e.g. NVQ 2 or equivalent, or similar level of accreditation or equivalent experience
You will have experience of working in similar service area.
You will demonstrate knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice and specialist equipment.
