Summary

About our Organisation

The Soil Association, formed in 1946, is the only UK charity which works across the spectrum of human health, the environment and animal welfare. That’s because we cannot tackle these issues in isolation.

We campaign for change, we support farming innovation, we serve healthy food in communities, we support and grow the organic market, and we protect forests. We couldn't do any of this without our supporters, partners, donors and dedicated staff. We make a difference in the world where it’s needed the most..

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an Awards Officer to support the customer service delivery of our Food For Life Award scheme for schools and nurseries. You will be responsible for delivering the customer service processes that support our settings to achieve our awards. Your focus will be on supporting our users through the process, reviewing applications, and giving them the best experience of Food for Life as possible along the way. You will work closely with the Senior Administrator, and the small and friendly awards team based at our Bristol Head Office (with hybrid working). Reporting to the Senior Awards Officer, you will also be a key part of the larger Programme Team helping to grow our awards schemes further to enable more children to learn about and eat healthy and sustainable food everyday. If you want to help to transform food culture in schools and love delivering excellent customer service, this could be the role for you.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who:

• Takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service

• Is a highly competent IT user with plenty of experience of using CRM and databases to record information

• Is self-motivated and can work autonomously to achieve deadlines and targets

• Is a great communicator and enjoy working with different people, building relationships and can convey information in a clear and engaging way

• Has worked with schools or early years settings in some capacity so you understand some of the pressures and the challenges they face

• Has an interest in sustainability, food systems and behaviour change

If you have any further questions about the role please contact Katie Ukleja, Senior Awards Officer: kukleja@soilassociation.org
