Summary


Due to additional investment within the Adult Safeguarding team an exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, passionate adult safeguarding specialist to join our well established safeguarding team within University Hospitals of Derby and Burton.

This post provides an exciting opportunity to deliver safeguarding services for adults across University Hospitals of Derby and Burton (UHDB) and in accordance with The Care Act 2014 and Local Safeguarding Boards Policies and Procedures.

The post holder will also support in the leadership and operational delivery of Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)

The post holder will work with the Trust Safeguarding and Vulnerable People’s Team to lead the development of Think Family practice across the Trust.

The post holder will provide a crucial link between staff and services, the Safeguarding Team and external agencies (e.g. Police, Probation, housing and Social Care), and act as a safeguarding role model to staff by the delivery of high quality advice and support in individual cases. The post holder will ensure links with a variety of internal and external professionals, support legal services and senior clinicians, undertake audit, deliver training, update Trust Professionals, attend multi-agency meetings internal and external to the Trust.
