As part of the Outdoor and Cycle Concepts group, Cotswold Outdoor is joined by Runners Need and Snow + Rock to support outdoor enthusiasts by providing excellent customer service and a range of products from world leading brands, all whilst promoting and encouraging sustainability!
How will you make an impact?
- Collaborating with the Head of Merchandising and other key stakeholders on the creation of the O&CC Buying Strategy
- Ensuring that teams maximise opportunity and minimise risk whilst selecting product to protect our existing business and unlock spend from our target consumer
- Driving the seasonal review process with the Head of Merchandising to create the Future Season Buying Framework and set seasonal product and brand targets
- Managing and developing a team of Buyers, including overseeing the allocation of work and driving culture, motivation and morale
- Reviewing weekly trading performance and achieved KPIs with the Buyers, identifying actions to address any issues in preparation for the weekly trading meetings
- Managing relationships with new and existing brands and suppliers to ensure the best terms for the business
- Leading the “go-to-market” strategy and completing store visits to ensure the key priorities are being adhered to
- Ensuring the right priorities for the brand marketing campaigns, seasonal shoots, and visual merchandising planning strategies by collaborating with Marketing and Visual Merchandising teams
- Setting the standard of what good looks like for stores and Ecommerce, helping them to prioritise which brand, range and categories we get behind and when
- Visiting suppliers and attending trade fairs in UK and Europe to review new season products and ranges
Please note this role is 40 hours per week.
You’ll fit right in if you have:
- Experience in a Head of Buying or Buying Manager position
- Commercial awareness and a comprehensive understanding of the market with the ability to analyse trends and data
- Strong leadership, influencing and negotiation skills
- Strategic thinking with the ability to translate strategic vision into tangible delivery
