Summary

IPS Employment Specialist - Fixed Term (16 months)

Location: 56-60 Castle Road Scarborough YO11 1XE with some travel expected to cover other areas which can be discussed at interview stage.

We are seeking an employment specialist to work within the The Individual Placement and Support (IPS) team based in Scarborough. The IPS team help to find meaningful jobs for people we support that suit their skills, abilities and experience.

As an Employment Specialist, you’ll not only transform the lives of the people you work with, but you’re also creating a fairer and more inclusive society. You’ll join a passionate, driven team and receive the training and support you need to advance your career in a rewarding, diverse and fast-moving environment.

About you…
We welcome people from a range of backgrounds and with all kinds of life experience, but here’s what we’d like you to have:
Experience or an understanding of working with people with substance misuse issues, or similar groups.
Experience of working with people on a one-to-one basis, offering motivation and support.
Empathy with those with substance misuse needs.
The ability to build good relationships with a range of different people, from employers to clients.
The ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
A passion for making a difference to peoples’ lives.
A degree-level education, or equivalent career experience.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.

The salary advertised above demonstrates the full earning potential for this role, starting salaries will allow for pay progression within the pay band.
