Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust’s GP Out of Hours service (WestCall) is looking to expand their existing team of experience Telephone Triage clinicians and invite you to join our dynamic and friendly team working to assess, diagnose and triage all patients who present with a range of illnesses.

We are looking for experienced Advanced Nurse or Advanced Paramedic Practitioners who must have been qualified for a minimum of 3 years with 1 year’s recent experience within general practice or minor illness care provision. In return you will receive a robust support system by our dedicated multidisciplinary team.

3 positions available, shift patterns are
1. Saturday 6pm -midnight
2. Saturday 12pm-6pm
3. Sunday 7am-1pm
4. Sunday 12-6pm and
5. Sunday 6pm – midnight

Hybrid working based from home with the expectation to work from Wokingham Community Hospital for 25% of your shifts.

Our service operates 365 days per year, this includes all public holidays
• Practice at an advanced level, working as an autonomous practitioner within the MDT to deliver high quality urgent care to patients
• Take responsibility and be accountable in assessing, diagnosing, treating or referring patients.
• Undertake telephone triage work andtelephone advice calls
• As an independent prescriber, prescribe medicines in accordance with NMC/HCPC guidance and national policy. 
• Request and interpret tests appropriate to patient’s needs.

The “must haves” for you to be considered for this role:  
• Registered Nurse/Paramedic
• Post Registration Advanced Clinical Practice or have completed 2 or more clinical skills modules
• Non-Medical Prescribing (NMP)
• Minor illness experience
• Proactive, flexible and enthusiastic approach
