Summary
Tim Eagle MSP is seeking a full-time Constituency Casework and Engagement Assistant based in the Highlands and Islands Region to assist him with supporting his constituents. The role is a remote-working position and we will consider part-time options too.
Job Description
Casework
- Managing constituent casework, and responding to public enquiries.
- Keeping caseworker up-to-date by tracking, logging and recognising when to escalate issues.
- Communicating with constituents on a wide range of issues, including sensitive matters.
- Advocating on constituent's behalf with relevant bodies and organsations to assist and resolve matters.
- Briefing the MSP on casework and trends.
- Reviewing constituent records and ensuring GDPR requirements are met.
- Keeping constituents regularly informed about the progress of their cases.
- Maintaining knowledge about relevant policy developments.
Engagement
- Attending in-person and virtual constituent surgeries alongside the MSP in the Highlands and Islands Region.
- Attending in-person and virtual meetings with stakeholders with the MSP in the Highlands and Islands Region.
- Preparing briefings ahead of aforementioned meetings for the MSP in advance.
- Liaising with community groups, including community councils, on emerging local issues.
