Summary

Are you looking to make a positive impact on young learner's lives? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join our enthusiastic and supportive team in Horley, Surrey

Key Responsibilities:
  • Student Support: Provide personalised assistance to students, helping them with their educational and social development.
  • Classroom Assistance: Work alongside the class teacher to facilitate a productive and engaging learning environment.
  • Behavioural Guidance: Assist in managing classroom behaviour to create a positive and conducive learning atmosphere.
  • Resource Management: Help prepare and organise learning materials and classroom resources.
  • Activity Supervision: Supervise students during activities, break times, and other school events.
  • Special Needs Support: Offer dedicated support to students with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring they receive appropriate assistance.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
  • Qualifications: A relevant educational or childcare qualification is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with teachers, staff, and parents.
  • Empathy and Patience: A caring and patient attitude towards working with children.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to work in different classroom settings and adapt to various teaching methods.
  • Safeguarding Awareness: A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • DBS Check: A current enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
