Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Part-Time Music Teacher to join this vibrant faculty for 3 days per week. The successful candidate will inspire and educate students across various age groups, as well as work in the community promoting music at the school. The role involves teaching general music classes, leading choirs and ensembles, and contributing to the school's rich program of musical performances and events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging music lessons to students of varying abilities.
- Develop students' musical skills and appreciation through innovative and interactive teaching methods.
- Lead and direct school choirs, bands, and other musical ensembles.
- Organise and participate in school concerts, recitals, and other musical events.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate music into the broader school curriculum.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Music Education or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Proven experience in teaching music at primary and/or secondary school levels.
- Proficiency in at least one musical instrument; piano skills are highly desirable.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all musical abilities.
- Commitment to the school's ethos and values, promoting a love of learning and creativity.
