Summary

Our client is a main contractor with offices in London, Bristol and Stoke. They specialise in refurbishments and fit-out construction projects across the commercial, education, healthcare and leisure sectors throughout the UK.

Position Overview:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial aspects of multiple projects simultaneously. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our projects are completed on time and within budget. This role offers a blend of office-based, hybrid or remote working options depending on the location of the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management: Handle 4-5 refurbishment and fit-out projects at any given time, ensuring efficient cost control and financial management.

Sector Variety: Work across various sectors, including Hotels & Leisure, Education, Student Accommodation, Care Homes, and Kitchens.

Cost Management: Accurately assess project costs, prepare budgets, and monitor expenditure throughout the project lifecycle. Examining and reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements. Monitoring design changes and their effect on costs.

Client Liaison: Build and maintain strong client relationships, addressing any financial concerns or queries.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with the project teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives and ensure legal compliance.

Requirements:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally in refurbishment and fit-out projects.
Must be based in the East Midlands due to project locations.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Main Contractor experience ideally on student accommodation projects.
Qualifications: BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying

Package:
Competitive salary
£50,000-£60,000 (DOE) plus car allowance, pension, private healthcare, bonuses, annual leave.
