Are you an experienced and dedicated Housekeeper looking for a unique opportunity?

Our client, renowned for its breathtaking views and welcoming atmosphere, is seeking a passionate individual to oversee the cleaning and upkeep of their three stunning self-catering holiday lets.

For decades, our client has been a cherished destination for guests, many of whom return year after year. Their small, friendly team takes pride in their unique properties and the stunning location they love to share with visitors.

Join them in maintaining the charm and beauty of the estate; you will be part of a friendly, supportive team in a truly unique and beautiful setting. Your role will be integral to ensuring guests have a memorable stay, contributing to the lasting charm and appeal of the estate.

This role is both hands-on and supervisory. You will need to be ready to dive in and get things done!

Are you the right person for the job?

• Excellent organisation and time management skills
• Keen eye for detail and pride in maintaining high standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills for interacting with guests and staff members
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
• Immediate availability is an advantage
• You must have your own vehicle as public transport in the area is limited

What will your role look like?

As the Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across the holiday lets:

• The 6-bedroom Georgian-built Sandridge Barton House, which offers majestic views over the River Dart
• The cosy 2-bedroom Boathouse, nestled in the woods along the riverbank
• The newly-refurbished 4-bedroom Lower Well Farmhouse, located within their winery visitor centre

Responsibilities

• Perform weekly cleaning and laundry duties
• Liaise with the in-house booking team, booking agents, and Estate Manager
• Manage cleaning contractors/casual staff as needed to ensure impeccable presentation
• Check and replace linen, crockery, and other essentials as required
• Manage stocks of consumables and cleaning products
• Welcome guests upon arrival (if required)
• Handle out-of-hours emergency calls on a rota basis
