Summary
Develop, manage and evaluate all aspects of the information technology used to deliver the Trust's digital medicines strategy. Ensure all pharmacy digital solutions deliver the strategic and operational goals of the Trust, including patient safety, patient experience, quality of care, efficient use of staff resources, and cost-effective prescribing. Responsible for clinical governance relating to electronic prescribing with specific attention to the safe, effective, and cost-efficient use of medicines/prescribing systems. Leading the implementation, maintenance, and performance management of EMIS ePMA across Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. Managing, organising and the operational development of clinical informatics solutions relevant to medicines optimisation. Project managing the implementation of all new digital solutions with effective change management, training and communication plans. Working with the Clinical and Operational Leads within Pharmacy and wider Trust/ICS on issues arising to ensure the ePMA system is fit for purpose and suitable for use across the Trust. Exercising professional accountability and responsibility using professional skills, knowledge and expertise in changing inpatient environments, across professional boundaries and in unfamiliar situations. To support and influence community pharmacists, PCN Pharmacists and GP based Clinical Pharmacists to ensure the pharmaceutical needs of patients with mental illness are met through partnership working at the interface. The post holder will divide their time between hands-on service clinical pharmacy service provision and their management/ lead pharmacist role/s (Digital Medicines Optimisation Programmes).
