Summary

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a proactive and innovative Graduate Finance Data Analysts to join our esteemed finance team. This role is a gateway to understanding and influencing financial outcomes across Sodexo UK&I region, providing critical support to our central finance operations that cover multiple segments and support functions. Under the guidance of the Head of Financial Analytics, this role offers the chance to be at the heart of financial decision-making processes, where your insights will directly enhance business transparency and performance.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial reports, maintaining data integrity, and developing insightful analytical tools to support decision-making. You will tackle challenging problems, streamline processes, and enhance the user experience within our financial platforms. This role offers the flexibility to engage with various stakeholders across the UK, providing a rich environment for professional growth and development.
The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for transforming complex data into actionable insights.
What you’ll do:
  • Supporting the regional CoE by channelling the needs of your stakeholders & championing regional solutions
  • Scope, build and maintenance of advance analytical models within a digital platform to enable the business to effectively identify and deliver enhanced operational performance
  • Act as a business partner to Finance, Service Platforms and Operational Functions, to identify and deliver efficiencies and maximise opportunities
  • Leverage the digitalisation of the business systems and functions and provide leadership and insight management of the financial reporting platforms associated with new business systems
  • Deliver standard monthly financial management reporting and key performance indicators.
  • Utilising analytics when partnering with finance and operational managers to identify and embed performance improving activities
  • Data Engineering – continuous development and management of analytical database architecture
  • Support the digitalisation of company systems and initiatives. Bring meaning and understanding to the data and influence improved business performance
  • Analyse and identify financial or commercial trends and provide insight in order to improve performance
What you bring:
  • Must be qualified to degree level with 2:1 or above in a discipline with substantial mathematical / statistical content.
  • Strong problem solver & commercially minded: able to dissect a problem, identify bottlenecks, constraints, issues & find solutions or actions.
  • A strong understanding of statistical modelling techniques
  • Strong ability in Power BI, Advanced Excel & Power Automate or a proven ability to rapidly build up proficiency in these, PowerPoint and Adobe.
  • Excellent self-learner, using resources at your disposal to find & leverage the best tools to deliver solutions.
  • Strong and engaging communication skills with a proven ability to convey complex information in simple terms to colleagues with different levels of capability
  • A genuine interest in analytics, thriving on independently learning new skills & practically deploying them into the business
  • Resilient with the ability to manage short and medium-term deadlines, competing priorities & work through ambiguity
  • Competent at planning and able to manage short and medium-term deadlines and competing priorities
  • Work quickly and autonomously towards a plan but have the skills to re-prioritise as required
  • Willing to travel across the UK to understand and engage with the business as needed
  • A mindset of continuous improvement, innovation & willingness to go above & beyond
