Summary
An SEN Teaching Assistant is needed for a reputable primary school with an SEN unit in the Jarrow area of South Tyneside. This full-time, long-term role begins in June and involves working with children with ASD and SEMH.
While prior experience supporting children with these needs is advantageous, it is not essential. The key qualities we seek are a willingness to learn and a genuine interest in engaging with SEN children. If you have experience as a support worker in a residential care environment, we encourage you to apply!
Requirements:
- Have experience supporting pupils with SEN needs
- Have experience working with ASD/ADHD and other SEN needs
- Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or above)
- Provide two referees we can contact
- Have a DBS form or be prepared to obtain one
We are a teacher-run agency based in Sunderland, offering supply and permanent placement services to schools in the North East and Teesside area. We provide a friendly and efficient service, available 24/7. You will receive prompt weekly payment and, provided requirements are met, statutory sick pay if needed.
