Summary


The post holder will be required to carry out waste management, cleaning, and place inspections, deliver timely and accurate reports to the clients, and assist with corrective actions. Audits will take place across various sites in Kent and Medway and the post will require driving to these locations on a regular basis.

The successful applicant will take direction from the Waste & Environment Manager and will work in collaboration with support services, and other service lines, focussing on quality and compliance improvements.

The post holder will monitor non-clinical contracts within Site Management and assist with the development of all non-clinical services as directed by the Waste & Environment Manager. There will also be a requirement to support the Waste & Environment Manager in the delivery of waste and environmental contract services monitoring and administration.

The Environment Auditor will provide professional advice and work within the Environment Team to support and help achieve the KMPT Green Plan targets and sustainability goals.
• Required to plan allocation of tasks on a weekly basis to ensure deadlines are met.
• Arrange and coordinate meetings & audits with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with trust policies.
• Undertake annual waste audits of client premises to check the management of waste against the standards laid out in the most up-to-date version of the Department of Health’s HTM 07-01: Safe Management of Healthcare Waste.
• Undertake regular cleaning audits of client premises to check the cleaning service provided against the standards laid out in the most up-to-date version of the NHS National Specification for Cleanliness.
• All audits will require travel across Kent and Medway, the post holder will need a full UK driving license.
• Complete and distribute all audit reports in a timely and professional manner, this will require the use of Microsoft programs.
• Collate data and prepare cleaning reports on a monthly basis. Provide secretarial, data inputting, and analytical support to the Waste & Environment Manager.
• To ensure waste is disposed of in accordance with the Trust waste disposal policy, assuring health and safety standards are adhered to

The post holder will contribute to the improvement of multi-professional working within and outside the service line to ensure safety and best practices within the service line. The post holder will take direction from the Waste & Environment Manager and will work in collaboration with support services and other service lines focussing on quality and compliance improvements.

The post holder will support the Waste & Environment Manager in the delivery of waste and environmental contract services monitoring and administration. KMPT is part of a Total Waste Management Consortium.
