Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service is seeking applications from individuals for the role of temporary DBS Coordinator within the Human Resources Department based at Service Headquarters, Carmarthen.
This is a temporary post for 12 months.

The Role
The purpose of this temporary role is to meet the Service’s objective to have in place a 3-yearly Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) renewal programme for all employees. To coordinate administration of the Service’s initial DBS checks, to include the development of a DBS Check register. To support all administrative aspects of the processing of DBS applications, to ensure that all applications for DBS checks are processed in accordance with the DBS Code of Practice.

The role will involve working collaboratively with internal departments and operational colleagues, maintaining a high standard of customer service, and travel throughout the Service area is a requirement of the role, together with the flexibility to work evenings and weekends due to the shift systems operated by the Service.

This is a full-time post working 37 hours per week with flexible hours in line with the Service’s flexi-time scheme.
