Summary

Experienced Embroidery Machinist | Bognor Regis, West Sussex | Up to 40 hours per week but could also be part-time | Flexible hours between 07.00-17.00 | £11+ depending on experience

Our client is a prestigious manufacturer of high-quality bed, table, and bathroom linens, proudly holding Royal Warrants, including one recently awarded by King Charles.

Situated in the picturesque countryside of West Sussex, they are dedicated to crafting luxury linens using the finest Italian-woven fabrics and cutting-edge embroidery machines. Their commitment to excellence and attention to detail sets them apart in the world of bespoke linen manufacturing.

Your main role will be to operate embroidery machines in line with the company’s high standards and company requirements.

The manufacturing facility operates from 7:00am to 5:00pm, allowing our client to accommodate various scheduling needs, including term time and school hours. Machinists work their hours over four days, enjoying alternating long weekends with Fridays and Mondays off on rotation.

Our client’s mission is to manufacture high-quality products with meticulous attention to detail. As a family-oriented company, they value their staff and cherish the friendly atmosphere within the team.

With a flat management structure, they operate collaboratively, and the Managing Director, is very supportive of the team; and is always available to offer advice, support, and assistance, both for work-related matters and personal issues, which they do frequently.

Having just received the King's Royal Warrant, the company is committed to continuing its progress towards sustainability, both within the company and throughout the supply chain.

Are you the right person for the job?

• Previous experience operating an embroidery machine
• Knowledge and experience in sewing
• Polite, friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills
• Ability to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to prioritise a busy workload effectively

What will your role look like?

• Operate a variety of embroidery machines (2 head, 4 head, and 6 head) for designing linens and accessories
• Mark up and frame bed linens for precise embroidery
• Ensure accurate positioning of embroidery designs
• Verify embroidery orders for correct fabric and thread colours
• Learn and understand different embroidery designs and manufacturing processes
• Prepare samples for the sales team as needed
• Plan the embroidery order to maximise efficiency in production
• Prepare machines and products for continuous production by threading and marking fabrics
• Maintain meticulous notes and records for future reference
• Demonstrate a keen attention to detail in all tasks
