Summary


Hull University Teaching Hospitals are currently looking for Perioperative Support Workers to work in the Day surgery Unit and theatres at Hull royal infirmary

The successful candidate will be used to working in a busy, challenging environment and have a flexible approach whilst working along side team members to meet the needs of both the patient and service.

The post holder is responsible for supporting the Registered Perioperative Practitioner in the delivery of direct patient care procedures, transfer and assisting in the maintenance of patient comfort throughout the Day Surgery unit in the Theatre and Recovery areas

Clinical Responsibilities
• Maintain health, safety and the control of infection in clinical work areas.
• Receive, transfer and position patients for clinical procedures.
• Assist the registered staff to prepare, monitor and maintain materials and equipment for clinical procedures.
• Support and care for patients during clinical procedures.
• Assist the registered staff with treating patients during clinical emergencies.
• To work in any of the theatre areas according to service needs, regardless of which theatre department they are based in, although it is anticipated that staff do predominately work in the department they are employed to be based in.
