Summary
1. Be responsible for the delivery of care to ensure the individual needs of the mothers, babies and families are met based on a holistic approach to care.2. Be responsible for maintaining own clinical competence in line with NMC Standard 17 Essential skills clusters.3. Demonstrate competence in relevant clinical skills including examination of the newborn, IV cannulation, IV drug administration and neonatal and obstetric emergencies and support other midwives, student midwives and junior medical staff in their acquisition of these skills including provision of training sessions.4. Be responsible for shift Co-ordination and management on a daily basis including the co-ordination of Hazelward and will use their judgement to ensure safe allocation of staff within the clinical area.
